Spa Treat at Seaham Hall, Co Durham
I can’t say that I am the world’s best daughter. As a model you have to travel ALOT to far-off countries, so I am never home! The amount of times I have had to postpone a trip back up North to see my folks because of an impromptu shoot, well, I have lost count. That’s why Mother’s Day is so important - I need to thank my Mam for her patience, understanding and for just being bloody awesome.
So that’s why I treated her to an overnight stay at Seaham Hall, once home to playboy poet Lord Byron, now a stunning Hotel and Spa settled on the cliffs of County Durham. The weather was typically moody outside, but inside we cosied up in our suite with bottle(s) of champagne. My Mam particularly loved the emerald green bathroom with a waterfall shower towering over the roll-top bathtub, and a selection of her favourite Elemis products.
After martinis, we dined in the grand Byron Grill with decadent desserts of dark chocolate mousse and stout ice-cream.
The best part was spending the whole of the next morning being pampered in the Oriental-inspired spa, with more champagne, of course.
Maybe it was the drink talking but she told me I was the best daughter ever by the end of it.

Afternoon Tea at Conrad St James, London
My mum is my best friend. And although I see a lot of her, it's still a special treat when we do things just the two of us. Which is why I really wanted to arrange something on Mother’s Day that we could do together. What is my mum’s very favourite thing? Champagne. (Alright, it’s quite high up on my list, too…) So what better treat than a champagne afternoon tea!
The Conrad Catwalk Afternoon Tea is £65 pp with free flowing G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne, or £39 pp without champagne. Conrad Hotel St James, 22-28 Broadway, London SW1H 0BH, 020 3301 8080

Girls Night in at The Berkeley, London
When you have a teenage daughter, your expectations for mother’s day are not high. So last year I booked the two of us in for a bit of familial bonding at the gorgeous Berkeley hotel, who have come up with the ingenious Girls Night In package.
It started badly – arguments over shopping, falling out over lunch – but as we grumpily checked into our room on the Saturday night, we found a pink hat box containing popcorn, hair rollers, lots of fun DVDs , and champagne (for me) sparking juice (in champagne-like bottle) for her.
The black cloud lifted; we changed into PJs, snuggled up in bed and forgot to be cross with each other
When I got back I found a hot bubble bath had been run, scattered with floating tulip petals (from my welcome bouquet - good use of initiative), each one inscribed in biro with things like ‘ You are the best mum in the world.’
After an an epic breakfast, we got back into our pyjamas, and, as the rain lashed the windows, watched DVDs in bed ALL DAY.
It was the best Mother’s Day yet.
