Veuve Clicquot. Charlotte Olympia. Daphne's restaurant, Chelsea. Three very good - if previously unrelated - things. Until now. Because until 24 June, you can sip specialty VC cocktails (think Veuve Clicquot Rich with amaretto, lime, apple and passionfruit) at a gorgeous pop-up bar with floral installations designed by shoe maestro Olympia (here killer heels really do grow on trees), at the style set's favourite local eatery. Welcome to bar Tropicana Botanica. We may never leave.

ART: The New Tate Modern
This is big: the new, revamped Tate Modern is here. Big in that its stunning, twisty shaped Switch House extension offers 10 storeys of extra space, expanding the gallery's size by 60 per cent. Big in that it houses all-new displays featuring 300 major modern artists from around the world (Mark Rothko, Ai Weiwei, Agnes Martin…) plus a swish 150-cover restaurant and 100-seater bar. And your need to go? Well, that will be HUGE.

NIGHTLIFE: Oval Space Summer Terrace
Many things can be greatly improved when you do them on a rooftop. Eating. Dancing. Watching films. And no one is more aware of this truth than the good folks at Oval Space, which is why on their newly reopened terrace, you can enjoy all of these altitude-friendly activities. And how. This summer sees new chef-in-residence Oded Oren serving up Mediterranean dishes with an Israeli twist, super-cool music takeovers from the likes of Phonica Records and Boiler Room, plus weekly film screenings with matched cocktails. Which, incidentally, taste better on a rooftop. Another thing to add to the list.

If you often find yourself torn between going to Duck & Waffle, SushiSamba or Jose Pizarro for dinner, then a) we want to be you, because you know how to live; and b) your dilemma has just been solved. Because this week you can eat at them all – plus many more top London restaurants such as Roka, The Typing Room and The Cinnamon Club – in one place: Regent's Park. Which can only mean that foodie fest Taste of London is back for five days of dining (see above), demos (Monica Galletti, Bruno Loubet, Jun Tanaka) and drinking (Slingsby Gin, Honest Brew, The Champagne Cave). Two words of advice: Elasticated. Waistband.

POP-UP: POP Fields
You may be aware that there are a few rather large sporting events going on this summer. Wait – stay with us! We promise, this actually a Very Good Thing. Because, at POP Fields, the new sporty offshoot of the hip POP Brixton, they give you an excuse to spend the day in a deckchair surrounded by the city's best street food stalls, al-fresco bars, live music and entertainment. Oh, and there's the biggest screen in south London, showing Euro 2016, Wimbledon, The Olympics and the Tour de France. In all of which we're suddenly VERY interested.

EXHIBITION: Punk 1976-78
Oi, oi! Want to celebrate all things punk? Then grab your bondage jacket and tartan kilt and head to… The British Library. Really. Because this most establishment of establishments is marking 40 years of everything, well, anti. That means rare seven-inches, photos, videos and original punk fashion (Westwood-tastic) all on display. Plus, there's a pop-up shop where you can get your hands on records, LP sleeves, tees and limited-edition prints by legendary punk photographer Sheila Rock. It's anarchy in the library…
