We like miniature food: it lets us pretend we're a giant. And the best of all the miniature foods is surely the slider. Fun-sized burgers that we can eat five of guilt-free? Yes, please. That's why we're heading to Broadgate Circle this Saturday, where 17 chefs are going head-to-head to try to tempt us with their gourmet brioche-based creations. Representatives from the likes of Ember Yard, Tom's Kitchen and Fifteen will be fighting it out to be named Champion Slider, while drinks will be flowing from Botanist and Long Arm Brewing Co. All this, plus the chance to pretend you're a giant. Yes.

There are two things it's impossible not to do when visiting the V&A's new blockbuster exhibition, Say You Want a Revolution?: 1. Sing the name of it in your best John Lennon voice. And 2. Wish you were around in the 1960s, because things were just cooler. There is evidence for point two aplenty at this huge celebration of the decade, not least performance footage from The Who, Sam Cooke and Jimi Hendrix, snapshots of Woodstock festival, pop-art pieces, psychedelic posters and era-defining fashion. Nostalgia overload guaranteed – who cares if you weren't actually there first time round?
