It's Mother's Day. And no, a card is not good enough. Taking her to a super-fun take on afternoon tea where the teapots are filled with cocktails, the mulled apple juice is flowing, and there's unlimited Victoria sponge, carrot cake, sandwiches, pastries and scones (oh, and actual tea), surrounded by kitsch memorabilia? Yeah, we reckon that'll definitely do the trick. And if she ends up dancing on the tables to the Spice Girls' 'Mama' after one too many teapot cocktails? An added bonus, surely.

With the first chink of blue sky (we saw it, we swear we did), comes one thought: FESTIVALS. Hey, it's never too early to be getting in the mood. And with that firmly in mind, we suggest you get down to the House of St Barnabas on Saturday, where, for one day only, Bestival is landing. This means intimate DJ sets from the likes of Felix from Basement Jaxx, Rob da Bank and Goldierocks (pictured), plus a bottomless brunch care of Zoe's Ghana Kitchen (£40), tie-dye workshops and even Mother's Day card-making sessions. And as House of St Barnabus works to end homelessness, you can be sure you are festivalling for a good cause, too.
