If you often find yourself torn between going to Duck & Waffle, Temper or Oldroyd for dinner, then a) we want to be you, because you know how to live; and b) your dilemma has just been solved. Because this week you can eat at them all – plus many more top London restaurants such as Roka, Les 110 de Taillevent and Javamar – in one place: Regent's Park. Which can only mean that foodie fest TASTE of London festival is back for five days of dining (see above), demos (Ollie Dabbous, Thomasina Miers, Neil Rankin) and drinking (Sipsmith, Truman's Beer, Smashing Wines), and Laurent Perrier masterclasses. Two words of advice: Elasticated. Waistband.
14-18 June; from £17
Taste of London, Regent's Park, NW1 4NR
Q: 'So what are you up to tonight?' A: 'Me? Oh, I'm just going to a contemporary burlesque cabaret extravaganza. Yourself?' If you'd like to have this very conversation (and who wouldn't want to have that very conversation), we bring you good news. Because from this Thursday there IS a contemporary burlesque extravaganza happening right here, at the Southbank, and it's known as Between the Sheets. Returning to Underbelly Festival for a summer run, this night is billed as a thrill-seeker's paradise – featuring, as it does, 'comic naughtiness', 'gasp-inducing spectacle' and 'explosive burlesque performances'. And corsets aplenty, we'd wager. Go, gasp, and get very glittery.
From 15 June; £17.50
Underbelly Festival, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX
