Who says dance music is a boys' club? Definitely not The Black Madonna, aka Marea Stamper, aka Mixmag's DJ of the Year, aka our new hero. She's ruled 2017 with a sold-out residency at XOYO, a humdinger of a closing set at Sonar, and now this – a huge day-to-night show at legendary venue York Hall. And what a party is in prospect, filling London's biggest sprung-oak dance floor with all manner of dancers and performers – not the mention the sounds spun by the lady herself. Do we still believe? You're goddamn right we do.

You might think that Christmas mightn't be the best time to be vegan, what with turkey famously containing meat and all. But this shindig is proving you WRONG. Because who needs dry old chuck when you could be feasting on chuna burgers by Vega Mama and jackfruit wings from Biff's Jack Shack? You'll find these plus much more when the Vegan Christmas Night Market hits Camden this Friday. Expect vegan cakes and mince pies, vegan doughnuts, cheese, meringues, chocolates – and, importantly, vegan mulled wine and even vegan Baileys. Plus everyone's going to be in a lovely Christmassy mood… definitely no beef. (Sorry.)

Car parks. Time was, they were used for, y'know, parking cars. But not in 2017, oh no. In 2017 they're for rooftop bars, pop-up ice rinks, food markets… and now this, south London's new arts and culture hub. Taking over seven levels of Peckham's multi-storey (ah, we see where they got they name), the first four floors offer workspace for emerging artists, designers, makers and creative entrepreneurs. But its floors 5-7 where things get really interesting. Expect: seven resident street food traders, two bars, a restaurant and café, a live music venue, gallery space, a hair salon and yoga studios. Don't expect: parked up Nissan Micras.
