Giant pillow dens. A house of clouds. Immersive performance, live music, DJs, dressing up… Safe to say, this is a New Year's party less ordinary. One of ELLE's favourite pop-ups of the season, the Imaginarium's finale also features feasting, fortune tellers, acrobats falling from the ceiling – and, if our experience was anything to go by, an absinthe-soaked visit from the green fairy. Because OBVIOUSLY.
7.30pm-2am; from £15
The Imaginarium, 32 Southwark Street, London, SE11TU
We like: watching the fireworks over the Thames. We don't like: waiting around in the cold/wet/wind for hours beforehand. Not how we roll. Which is why we're taking the far more stylish – and champagne-fuelled – option and making for the five-star Marriott London County Hall instead. Sitting smack next to the London Eye, it has the best seats in the city come firework o' clock, and rather than standing about in the build-up you can be working your way through a five-course tasting and fizz menu at Gillrays. Seafood/champers/cheeseboard… we're loving 2018 already.
