Otherwise known as: how to kill it at New Year's resolutionsMore
AT… The Book Club
So you've decided to do dry January. But that doesn't mean you can't drink cocktails, oh no. Not at Shoreditch venue The Book Club, anyway – because it has just launched a booze-free menu that couldn't be saintlier if John the Baptist was behind the bar. There's the bellini-alike peach and fennel spritz (Seedlip Garden 108 spice, white peach and fennel shrub, lemon juice, soda), the spicy turmeric spritz (turmeric, ginger, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, honey, angostura bitters, rosemary, mint and sage, soda) and even a beetroot espresso martini.. All with the usual cool club nights and DJs to keep things interesting. Word to the wise, however: dodgy dance moves can no longer be blamed on those cocktails, OK?

AT… Re:Solutions Festival
It's January, which means we're dreaming of six-pack abs but are stuck with cask-of- prosecco podge (damn you, party season). But here to help is the month-long Re:Solutions Festival at JuJu's Bar and Stage in Shoreditch. An altogether cooler way to do the health kick, here you'll find all manner of yoga (from vinyasa to kundalini to African flow), intriguing fitness classes (grime HIIT, hip-hop circuits, disco barre), dance workshops, meditation and talks. And if all else fails, there's a 90s Dance Fit House and Garage Special. Because if the Artful Dodger and Craig David can't get you fit, no one else can, frankly.
