We're not sure 'romance' is the first word that springs to mind when we think of the Fifty Shades of Grey film, but who are we to judge? Because Nick, a man from Australia, thought a trip to see it at the cinema on the first day of its release would be the perfect place to propose to his girlfriend of eight years.
Nick did that sneaky old thing of asking the cinema to screen a special home video he'd made for girlfriend, Leigh, during the ads. And his interesting idea of romance worked, as a shocked but delighted Leigh instantly threw her arms around him, and accepted his proposal.
Cute, isn't it. In a weird kind of way. And we bet they couldn't wait to get home and, er, celebrate their engagement after the fruity two hours of sexy inspiration they then endured.
We can only dare to imagine the sorts of favours guests will be treated to on the tables of their wedding reception. It'll be whips, ropes and gags galore - if the theme of their engagement is anything to go by, anyway...
