He was famously portrayed by Justin Timberlake in the Oscar-winning film The Social Network. Now, Facebook founding president and Napster creator Sean Parker is courting controversy after splurging $10 million on his wedding.

The dot-com billionaire said ‘I do’ to singer Alexandra Lenas this weekend at the Ventana Inn, Big Sur, California. Parker reportedly hired a set designer to create a -style setting, complete with ancient ruins, cascading waterfalls and a cottage hideaway in the woods. Guests were even treated to custom-made outfits by Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings costume designer, Ngila Dickson, who also dressed the groom and flower girls.
The lavish production was more in keeping with a Hollywood movie set build, and in her romantic couture gown – which had more than a hint of Daenerys Targaryen – Parker’s bride gave new meaning to the phrase “fairytale wedding”.

Big Sur is known for its rugged coastline, lush forests and staggering views, and its easy location between Silicon Valley and LA makes it the perfect option for star-studded nuptials. Emma Watson and Sting were among the 300 guests.
