Brazilian supermodel and former VS Angel Isabeli Fontana wed Diego Ferrero of NX Zero in a ceremony on a private beach in the Maldives earlier this week. The bride, who is used to strutting down the runway in bedazzled bralettes and bottoms, opted for a barely-there gown for the warm weather celebration by Brazilian designer Agua de Coco (translation: coconut water). Refreshing, indeed.
Isabeli has walked in Agua de Coco's runway shows in the past, and commissioned the custom bridal look from the designer–aka creating the best version of her bikini-clad body. The bride opted for a bespoke swimsuit and an embroidered tulle overdress rather than a traditional bridal gown like her friend (and fellow VS Angel) Ana Beatriz Barros.
The sheer mesh dress was embroidered with crystal beading and worn over an ivory bandeau and high-waisted bottoms. Fontana accented the look with small white orchids tucked into a loose top knot and a small clutch of white lilies.
The barefoot ceremony was kept small and subtle, and didn't take itself too seriously–case in point: the couple's action-figure inspired wedding cake and colorful ceremony site.
