There have been some extravagant wedding cakes over the years, including this castle and Kaley Cuoco's upside-down chandelier. But when it comes to the most beautiful one we've ever seen, this dress-inspired design is definitely up there. It was created by Emma Jayne Cake Design and inspired by a couture gown by designer Mak Tumang.

Here's the real dress in all its grey-and-pink organza glory. It's stunning, to say the least, as well as incredibly detailed, which is just another reason why Jayne's iced version is so impressive.

Sadly, the wearable version is no longer available, but at least there's a cake that looks almost identical to keep you satisfied. But how did Jayne do it? All we know is that she used a prototype of the innovative dragéekíss cake-decorating tool to make the most intricate details. The rest is a mystery.

It's no wonder the cake is the centrepiece at Cake International's competition in Alexandra Palace in London, which is known internationally as the world's largest cake competition. This year's theme was "Wedding gowns through the ages".

How could you possibly ruin this by cutting a slice, though?
