So we know when, we’ve got a fair guess as to who, and we’re loving guessing at where. But these are the numbers that really matter when it comes to the wedding of the century™.
£9m-£18m: The estimated total cost of the nuptials. Pricey, sure, but you would too if you had Beyoncé and Jay Z coming to your wedding.
1 fort in Florence: The 16th-century Forte di Belvedere, where the ceremony will take place. Kanye has said the couple chose to wed in the city because it is where their daughter North was conceived, ‘among the Renaissance masterpieces’. We can only hope the other museum-goers weren’t easily embarrassed.
100 guests. Or is it 200? Reports remain vague, although the couple have said it will be an ‘intimate’ occasion. But what is known that they will be treated to a private tour of Paris’ Palace Of Versailles the night before the wedding, before being flown to Florence for the ceremony. And you thought getting from your friend's church service to the country-hotel reception was a trek.
40: The size of the team said to be working on preparations for the wedding, including Swiss sound technicians and Italian lighting designers. We’re betting this is one wedding disco that is not going to feature Come On Eileen or technicolour glitter balls.
12: The number of suitcases belonging to Kim that arrived in Paris on Saturday. Sister Kourtney, on the other hand, only flew over nine. She knows how to pack light, you see.
2 scarves: Worn over the couple’s faces for an ‘incognito’ pre-wedding trip to a Paris gym. Number of people fooled: 0.
£4,700: The amount Kim spent in when the couple popped out for a little bit of pre-nuptial shopping in Paris. Which is exactly how we plan to spend the days in the run-up to our wedding, too.
100,000 and counting: The number of rumours circulating as to the designer of Kim’s dress. Will it be (pal of her groom-to-be)? Or perhaps (whose Paris showroom she was spotted leaving with friend Serena Williams)? Or , who designed Kim’s THREE dresses for her last wedding day…? It makes Kate Middleton’s choice of gown seem pressure-free by comparison.
