Bridal designer Stewart Parvin knows a thing or two about giving brides what they want (the Queen doesn’t grant Royal Warrants of Appointment to just anyone, you know).

And, when he heard that we were preparing to launch ELLE Weddings, he made a special little something – just for us – that made us fall for him, too.

Following his recent salon show in London, Parvin unveiled this beautiful tailored wool cashmere coat, which he’d created with ELLE in mind and shown only to us.

We’re all for the idea of a wedding coat (more on that to follow) and this, with its deco-style buttons and 3/4 length sleeves, drapes perfectly from the shoulder into a fabulous 60s-inspired swing shape – perfect for retro brides. (Aside: we also really love the idea of a colour-pop headscarf in lieu of a veil.)

Of course, we wouldn’t be so selfish as to keep the design totally to ourselves: it forms part of the Stewart Parvin spring 2015 collection, and will retail at £3195.
