Amy married Liam on 31 May 2014 in the Cotswolds’ countryside. The couple were engaged in Bruges five years after they met, on their birthdays (they both share the same birthday). Everything was kept simple but elegant, from the dress to the bouquet. Highlights of the day included the guests playing in the fields in their wellies (and full wedding attire) with the nieces and nephews.
I first saw my wedding dress online and instantly knew that it was exactly what I was looking for - elegant but fairly relaxed. It was a Rose & Delilah gown from Luella's Boudoir in Wimbledon, and silk with the perfect amount of lace.

My two sisters and one of my closest friends were my bridesmaids. The most stressful thing about the whole wedding was probably finding a dress to suit all bridesmaids. In the end I found one in H&M that worked perfectly and which was also amazing value.

Our first dance was a cover of Strangers by The Kinks. We had both heard this song played by Wye Oak (one of our favourite bands) at the beginning of our relationship and we still love listening to it. Although we were both very nervous about the dance (we hadn't practiced at all, not even in the kitchen), it seemed to go well and people soon joined us on the dance floor.
