My wedding dress was a beautifully light lace design by Lusan Mandongus that my parents bought me from Teokath in Wimbledon. I loved the combination of glamour with the traditional lace, and it was perfect in the heat.
My wedding dress was the 'Constance' by Claire Pettibone. As soon as I started looking for dresses, I was immediately drawn to her boho and nature-inspired designs.
When I saw the 'Constance' up close in a shop, I completely fell in love with the intricate lace and delicate design. After finding out the dress was a sample and half price, I bought it there and then, even though the wedding was still 15 months away!
My wedding dress was a Fifties Duchesse dress from Suzannah in London. I wanted a shorter dress, and I also wanted one that I could wear again - so the plan is to eventually have it dyed. The veil was from Suzannah’s too, with extra bling added. Apparently, it sparkled in the sunshine. My shoes were Jimmy Choo.
I didn't want to wear a ‘wedding’ dress. I knew it had to be vintage. At first, I couldn't find anything I loved anywhere, and then with five days to go before the wedding, we drove from East Sussex to Bristol where Gav's aunt has a vintage store, Heartfelt Vintage.
I tried on a lot of dresses, before eventually settling on one. I loved the playful drama of the green, grey and off-white.
