Lucy married Kevin on 2 August 2014 at Hitchin Lavender Farm. They had been together for seven years when they got married, during which they travelled the world and had a son together. Kevin proposed on a secluded bay in Dorset with their son present, and they had a two-year-long engagement to decide on what wedding suited them as a couple. They didn't want it to feel too formal, so they decided on a venue that allowed them to do everything themselves. The day itself was accompanied by a dramatic skyline and sunshine.
My dress was the 'Lauren' by Eliza Jane Howell. It was sequinned and beaded to the very bottom.

I had my makeup done by Makeup by Katy. She totally captured what I wanted, which was a natural yet elegant look.
My hair was done in pin curls and then brushed out to create soft waves.

I walked down the aisle to the traditional Wedding March. When I first heard the organ, I was full of fear until I saw Kevin and then I knew everything was okay.

We hired tipis for the Lavender Farm.
We were so lucky to have such incredible weather. It was forecast to be a stormy day and we did have a storm, but only for an hour whilst huddled in the tipi; this was followed by the most dramatic sky.

I made 23 metres of tassel bunting that lined the opening of the tipi.
Each table had lots of glass vases that we collected throughout our engagement, filled with natural-looking flowers.
