MARC JACOBS FOR DIET COKE

MARC JACOBS FOR DIET COKE
Designer Diet Coke, anyone?
Marc Jacobs has been teamed up with the fashion world’s favourite beverage – Diet Coke.
‘Diet Coke is an icon… and I love an icon’ said Jacobs on the collaboration.
The fizzy drinks brand has been getting high fashion makeovers since 2003 - Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier have both served as Diet Coke creative directors - and now it’s Jacobs' turn.
Available across the UK from Monday 25 February the three designs feature fashion themes from the past three decades:
I Heart 80’s - 1982 was the year of Diet Coke’s debut – the cans depict female empowerment in the decade of excess, using bowties and the bright lights of Broadway.
I Heart 90’s - the design incorporates couture trilby hats and stilettoes, evoking the glamour and powerful femininity of the decade.
I Heart 00’s - takes its inspiration from the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2013 show and includes an eclectic mix of patterns including Jacobs’ signature red polka dots.
