What does your job at ELLE involve?
I assist Fashion Director Anne-Marie Curtis, helping to plan ELLE’s cover shoots and a lot of the main fashion stories. I also style my own pages: ELLE loves and How to Wear, both of which appear in the magazine each month.
How did you get started?
I started out as a freelancer, working for New! Magazine and assisting different stylists at the same time to get as much experience as possible. I basically had about three jobs, and a flat full of returns.
What are your career highlights?
Staying in the Chateau Marmont penthouse suite on my own after the Jennifer Aniston cover shoot and meeting women who have been childhood heroes of mine, like Demi Moore and Kylie. I have some great stories under my belt - some very funny, very secret ones.
Best thing about working at ELLE?
Having the freedom to grow within an environment that has such high acclaim within the industry and working with people who I find inspiring and can learn from.
Advice for people starting out?
Choose your path carefully and don't give up.
Describe your style.
I like pieces to be mixed together in a way that isn’t contrived. I love vintage and am an eBay addict. I rarely wear black and I don’t like anything that feels too smart as I like to be comfortable
