What does your job at ELLE involve?
I edit ELLE Collections as well as our catwalk, high street and workwear supplements. Also, I do cover interviews – to date, everyone from Courtney Love to Demi Moore to Alexa Chung - and write the Beauty Extremist column.
How did you get started?
I started writing about style while I was a student, then worked my way up from work experience girl at i-D to editor. After that, I spent five years working as a freelance creative consultant for Chanel, then came to ELLE two years ago.
What are your career highlights?
Seeing the book I edited, “Fashion Now” (Taschen), translated into 24 languages. Being nominated for PPA and BSME awards for my ELLE Beauty Extremist column was also very special.
Best thing about working at ELLE?
The talent and passion of the entire team.
Advice for people starting out?
Seize every opportunity. Work harder than you thought possible. Pay attention to every detail. Make yourself essential. And smile!
Describe your style.
A little chic, a little rock’n’roll. Coco Chanel is my style icon. I love her rebellious, unconventional spirit.
