The 36th PZU Warsaw Marathon is fast approaching, and while we may not be ready to take on another 26.2 mile distance quite yet, we’re warming up for the winter training season with a jaunt through the heart of Warsaw. Participants of the Marathon’s High Five Race (that’s 5K to you and me) start from the Poniatowski Bridge, run to de Gaulle roundabout, around the palm and continue to the finish line located next to the impressive National Stadium. With the marathon starting at 9:00am followed by the 5K race at 9:30, that leaves just enough time to sprint to the finish and watch the elites come in. Perfect timing.
