Anne Hathaway named face of Lancome's new scent

The star of The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway, is the latest Hollywood star to be signed up by French beauty giant Lancome.
She joins Kate Winslet - who is the face of Lancome's scent Tresor, and will front a new scent set to be launched by Lancôme in 2008.
"Anne Hathaway is a radiant young woman who perfectly embodies modern femininity," said Odile Roujol, president of Lancôme International, when the announcement was made in America overnight.
Lancôme used fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh to shoot Kate Winslet in a breathtaking black and white commercial for Tresor, that is on our screens now, and we are sure Hathaway will be given similar treatment, as more and more beauty companies are now using actresses to create mini feature films to advertise make-up and perfume. (Remember - it all started with that Moulin Rouge inspired Baz Luhrman ad for Chanel No. 5, starring Nicole Kidman.)
We can't wait to see what Lancome come up with, and get a whiff of that new perfume.
