In 1957 Hubert de Givenchy launched his first scent "L'Interdit", created for actress Audrey Hepburn (left), his close friend and muse - who actually named the scent, 'forbidden' or l'interdit in French. 50 years later, this month, Givenchy is reissuing the scent for a limited period, along with six other 'Mythical' Givenchy scents which are discontinued or no longer available. L'Interdit, Le De, Givenchy III, (named after the address of the Givenchy Couture house in Paris) and Eau de Givenchy will all be available at Harrods in London, along with 3 lost mens scents Vetyver, Monsieur de Givenchy and Xeryus. The Mythical Collection is on display as part of Harrods' Timeless Luxury collection and is a real slice of fashion and couture history, but only until 1 November 2007. So get there soon.
