WAH to collaborate with Models Own

We discovered WAH nails when it had only just opened last August, and since then the Dalston salon has become the go-to for London's fashion crowd looking for the coolest nail art around. ELLE caught up with founder Sharmadean Reid (pictured) to ask her about what she's accomplished - and what's in store for WAH in 2011.

It's no surprise that Sharmadean has landed not one but three huge collaborations - with Lily Allen's Lucy in Disguise, Harvey Nichols, Dublin and Models Own - for WAH's second year in business. After just four months of the Dalston salon being opened she had launched a one-week-only pop-up in Selfridges - when you consider that it's usually the likes of Chanel and YSL with pop-up salons in the world-renowned department store you'll start to see what a coup that was.

'Selfridges was an amazing opportunity, it was a shame we were only there for a week but it was so much fun, and a massive learning curve. Dalston had only been open for four months when they asked us to do it, so it was a real honour.'

Since then WAH has landed a permanent space in Topshop's flagship store on Oxford Circus. 'With Topshop - from the minute I had the idea for the salon, I always said - "I'm gonna open a nail salon and I'm gonna get it into Topshop."
