Alexander Wang and Jason Wu lead the nominations for the CFDA Emerging Talent Award.
And Michelle Obama might be there to celebrate with Wu, who has shot to international fame since she wore his design to the Inaugural Ball. She is being honoured by the Council of Fashion Designers America with the board of directors special tribute award.
Wu and Wang are also up against Thakoon, another of Mrs O's favourite designers.
Marc Jacobs will receive the International Award for his work at Louis Vuitton, and is also nominated for Womenswear Designer of the Year alongside Narciso Rodriguez and Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy.
All will be revealed on the 15th June, in a star studded gala dinner at The Lincoln Centre, the new home of the awards.
