Giles Deacon set to expand with a new manufacturing deal.
Former British Designer of the Year Giles Deacon has decided it's time to turn his label into a global fashion force.
'At a certain point, we took a step back and asked ourselves: ‘What do we want this business to be?' Giles revealed to WWD yesterday.'The answer was a big business, with on-time deliveries, proper pre-collections, and a bigger distribution network.'
He'll achieve this through the new deal he has signed with Castor Srl, the fashion manufacturers based in Italy who have also worked with Valentino and Chanel in the past.
They will help him up his distribution from aprox 38 stores to over 120, plus Giles plans to take over a minority stake in his own business within a year.
