British Fashion Awards shortlist revealed

The nominations for this year's British Fashion Awards have just been announced.

This year's awards ceremony, which will be its 25th, will be held on 9th December. It's one of the biggest nights in the British fashion calendar - we can't wait.

The emerging talent awards are much-coveted, and this year a handful of ELLE's favourite designers has made the cut. Mark Fast, Meadham Kirchhoff and Peter Pilotto are the nominees for emerging womenswear labels (we don't envy the judges job of having to choose between them), while Holly Fulton, Jessica McCormack, Maria Francesca Pepe and Camilla Skovgaard are all battling for the accessories prize.

Model of the Year, which last year was won by an emotional Jourdan Dunn, is being contested by Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Daisy Lowe and the new face of Rimmel, Georgia May Jagger. We're secretly hoping that a now heavily pregnant Jourdan will be there to hand over the award.

Burberry and Pringle, who bothed returned to show in London in September, have been nominated for the Designer Brand of the Year award alongside Mulberry.

And Collection of the Year will be won by either Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders or Erdem.

The hotly anticipated Designer of the Year award will be revealed on the night. Last years winner was Luella Bartley, whose label ceased trading this month. Others to be revealed are the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, which will be given to a stylist,make-up artist, photographer, art director or produce, and the BFC Outstanding Achievement award.
