Christopher Kane unveils his first Versus collection

Growing up in Glasgow a teenage Christopher Kane was obsessed with Versus, the younger Versace line that said everything to him about glamour. No wonder he was Donatella Versace's first choice of designer when she decided to re-launch the label.
Yesterday in Milan Kane unveiled his first collection - 21 dresses, four in red, four in nude, the rest in black, all accessorised with shoes and bags and all of which met with a rapturous response from the fashion crowd. Inspired by the label's archive, the spirit was sexy, sweet and youthful - think short, body-skimming dresses in jersey or wool with lace or laser-cut embellishments teamed with flat chain-embellished boots, or sandals which wrapped chainmail round the ankles.
Alexa Chung or Emma Watson will be putting their names on the waiting list now – for next season, there’s simply nothing better to be obsessed with.
