Hermes sets the record straight

The is he isn't he rumour continues to swirl, is Gaultier leaving Hermes?

On Friday the fashion industry was a-buzz with rumours that Jean Paul Gaultier was quitting as Creative Director at Hermes.

Today however Hermes have confirmed to ELLE that 'both [Hermes and JPG] intend to continue their fruitful collaboration. Any rumours to the contrary are unfounded.'

With Paris Fashion Week just one month away Gaultier will certainly have completed, if not almost completed, his spring/summer 2010 collection for Hermes, which now looks likely not to be his last for the house.
