Is Harold Tillman buying Aquascutum?

The BFC Chairman and owner of Jaeger said to be considering Aquascutum.
The British heritage label Aquascutum has been owned by the Renown group since the 1990s, but the company put the brand into consultation in June 2009, inviting bids to buy it.Renown Group also cancelled Aquascutum's London Fashion Week catwalk show, opting for a lower key, lower cost presentation instead.
However things could be looking up for the label as today, Harold Tillman, one of British fashion's most powerful players and chairman of the BFC is said to be considering a take-over.
Tilman has been credited with transforming the fortunes of another Brit brand, Jaeger in recent years, and has been a driving force in making London one of the hottest fashion capitals in the world again. It would be great news for Aquascutum and the British fashion industry if the take-over is sucessful.
