Prince Charles visits Burberry HQ in London
By Carrie Gorman | Posted: Thu 29 Oct 2009
Following on from arguably the best London fashion week in history, witnessing everyone from Victoria Beckham to Anna Wintour on its front row, it has risen to the Royals to give the British fashion industry its seal of approval.
Today, Prince Charles visited Burberry’s HQ on London’s Horseferry Road to meet its creative director Christopher Bailey and chief executive officer Angela Ahrendts to look through the brand's 153 year old archives and talk trenches.
Burberry, which returned to London for the first time in eight years in September to show its spring/summer 2010 collection, joined the FTSE 100 in September at a worth of £2billion. It has held a royal warrant since 1990 happily keeping the Windsors in waterproofs.
