Stephen Jones awarded OBE

Jones, who has created outlandish hats for everyone from John Galliano to Vivienne Westwood, was awarded the Order of the British Empire for services to fashion.

And he wasn't the only British fashion player to make the list - designer Amanda Wakeley also received an OBE, while everyone's favourite homeware designer, Cath Kidston, and Luella Bartley, whose label sadly closed last year, were each awarded an MBE.

The three will be given their awards in ceremonies this year.

They join an impressive roll call of British fashion industry favourites who have been recognised by the Queen. Burberry's Christopher Bailey picked up an MBE last month, and Anya Hindmarch, Vivienne Westwood and Margaret Howell have all received the honour in the past.
