Tom Ford seeking $50 million to launch womenswear line
Drapers Record is reporting today that Tom Ford is seeking investment to launch his own womeswear label.
Famous for his tenure at Gucci, where he transformed the label and influenced fashion around the globe, in recent years Tom has focused on producing a collection of scents with Estee Lauder and directing his first feature film, A Single Man, which recently premiered at The Toronto Film Festival - starring Colin Firth.
Fashion fans have followed his career closely to see when he would make his return to womeswear design. If investment bank Credit Suisse decide to back him surely they won't have long to wait.
