Eva Mendes ads for Calvin Klein still causing a stir
By Laurelle Gilbert | Posted: Fri 01 Aug 2008
As we reported back in May Eva Mendes new ads for Calvin Klein's latest scent, Secret Obsession, were deemed too sexy for U.S. audiences by American sensors.
U.S. TV networks will simply not allow Steven Meisel's commercial to be aired - it's too raunchy and risque, featuring Eva enjoying a private, intimate moment, set to a seductive sound track, wearing very little.
It's all made for quite a scandal in the U.S., so tonight, Coty, who produce the perfume along with scents by Kate Moss, SJP and Kylie, are previewing the ads on the internet in an effort to make sure that the world gets to see Eva's latest starring role.
An internet only screening of a commercial film hasn't been so widely anticipated since Agent Provocateur screened Mike Figgis' ultra sexy short film of Kate Moss in AP lingerie - and that crashed the label's entire website!
