Alexa Chung turns designer
By Emma Sells | Posted: Tue 19 Jan 2010
Alexa Chung has teamed up with American brand Madewell to design a collection.
Having firmly conquered the London scene and cemented her place as style icon, Alexa Chung moved Stateside last year to host a show on MTV. Now it seems that she's set to move into the fashion world over there too - she has joined forces with Madewell (a laid-back, preppy brand that's owned by J. Crew) to design a clothing range.
The collection, which will be called Alexa Chung for Madewell, will channel the Brit girls' signature (not to mention much copied) style - dungaree dresses, peter pan collars, oversized biker jackets and printed T-shirts. We haven't even seen it and we want it all.
Of course there is a downside - it won't be available here. So if you want to get you hands on the collection when it hit stores in September, you'd better dig out your passport...
