Emma Watson turns creative advisor for new ethical fashion range.
Rumours have been swirling for months that ELLE cover star Emma Watson might be designing a fashion collection. Today it was announced that the front row regular and face of Burberry has helped ethical label People Tree create a collection that will be sold in aid of The People Tree Foundation - which works to campaign for Fair Trade and sustainable fashion.
Emma worked closely with the People Tree design team and CEO Safia Minney to create a capsule lifestyle collection influenced by her own personal style.
Drawing on her favourite summer locations, The South of France, London and English festivals for inspiration the collection features cotton skirts, T-shirts and jersey pieces as well as jewellery and cushions and will launch in stores in February 2010.
'It has been an incredible gap year project', Watson said today of her role. She's now off to prestigious American University Brown to study literature.
