Following the news this week that Erin Wasson will be showing her next collection at New York fashion week, news also reaches us that the model-muse turned designer has landed her first staring role in none other than Sophia Coppola's next film. She'll be playing 'Party girl No.1' in the film 'Somewhere', which focuses on the life of a fast living actor who resides in L.A's legendary Chateau Marmont hotel.

Also confirmed today, Esteban Cortazar has left Emanuel Ungaro. Rumours have been rife of a rift between the designer and the management at Ungaro, in particular over speculation as to whether the label would employ Lindsay Lohan as its face. The industry has been speculating for months as to if he would be leaving the design house, and this morning WWD confirmed that Cortazar will be exiting the label immediately.

And finally, Prada has launched it's first pop-up store in Paris. Located at Place Beauvau 92, it has been designed by Roberto Baciocchi, to look like the Mirabeau Bridge . (Pub quiz note: That was the first bridge in Paris to have been constructed out of metal.) Paris' iconic bridges are a recurring theme through out the store, which will be open for five months,selling Prada's latest collection of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes.
