Bare legs, models
A recent survey has revealed that 81 percent of women prefer to wear tan tights rather than expose their bare legs in summer. Would you rather wear tights than go without?

Naomi Campbell pays tribute to McQueen

By Lianne Ludlow | Posted: Tue 23 Feb 2010

Last night Naomi Campbell paid tribute to late British designer Alexander McQueen by honouring him when she won an ELLE Style Outstanding Contribution Award, for her modelling and charity work.

But the supermodel has been paying tribute in more than words, and probably more fittingly, by wearing the designer almost non-stop since he died.

Naomi was snapped coming out the the New York Alexander McQueen store the day after Alexander 'Lee' McQueen died, and has donned the designers spring summer collection at most fashion events since.

She made sure his collection was the major draw at her Fashion For Relief show last week which raised funds for mothers and children affected by the disaster in Haiti. Naomi herself, Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof all modelled Alexander at the show, while Naomi then wore another of his pieces sat in the front row of Christoper Kane's catwalk show yesterday.

Last night at the ELLE Style Awards the supermodel again wore a stunning piece from McQueen's acclaimed spring, nature inspired, collection.

And Naomi is not the only one to show their affection for the designer by wearing him at high profile events this week. ELLE's Editor-in-Chief Lorraine Candy also paid tribute by donning a McQueen spring summer gown, singer Leona Lewis was chic in black dress by the Brit designer, while Jamie Winstone and Sam Taylor Wood both wore his gowns on the Bafta red carpet.

We can't wait to see his final collection at the autumn winter show at Paris Fashion Week next month. We're know his designs will endure as covetable classics.
