Happy Birthday, Jimmy Choo

“I always dreamed of creating the perfect luxury accessories house, one that captures the hearts of women around the world,” Tamara Mellon OBE, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, told us. “Fifteen years ago that was my vision, but even now, with everything that we have accomplished, we’re far from resting on our laurels. The little start-up shoe brand that has moved from strength to strength since the days when Mellon and one assistant would fly to Los Angeles to hand-dye satin shoes to match Oscar attendees’ dresses.

The company now boasts 115 stores around the world, countless celebrity devotees and high-profile collaborations with H&M, Hunter and Ugg. Maybe someone deserves a break?
