Three wedding dresses for Kate?

Indecisive much? The latest from the Royal Wedding gown rumour mill would have us believe that our Kate has commissioned not one, but three dresses for her biggest of all big days.

FashionEtc cites ‘sources’ who named Jasper Conran as the favoured one—which we can actually see, given the quintessentially English designer’s decorum and classic aesthetic. (Fashionista pointed out that Conran’s team pulled images of his bridal range offline as speculation started to mount. One point for discretion.)

But—and here’s the catch—the newest twist in the guesswork suggests that Kate has two other design teams working on alternative gowns, in case the main dress is ‘correctly leaked.’

We have some questions: Would a bride really wave away her dream gown simply because word got out? What constitutes a correct leak, anyway? Is the name of the designer enough to warrant moving on to option two, or would the leak have to be more substantive for Middleton to slip into her second choice? And how must the back-up designers feel (if there are back-up designers at all)?

In other news sure to stoke the gossip fires, Middleton wore Amanda Wakeley for her last official engagement yesterday. And the best bets are sti
