Vivienne Westwood's shoe exhibition

Whether it's her recent collaboration with rubber shoe label Melissa or the notorious towering platforms that landed Naomi Campbell on the floor of the catwalk, Vivienne Westwood's shoes have always been distinctive and much talked about. Now's your chance to take a look at the edited highlights of the pieces that she has designed over the years - Selfridges is opening an exhibition this week dedicated to the designer's footwear.

The exhibition, entitled 'Vivienne Westwood Shoes: An Exhibition 1973-2010' is set to open in the London department store's Ultra Lounge on Thursday. According to WWD you'll be able to get up close and personal with nearly 200 pairs of shoes, ranging from the fashion packs' favourite Pirate boots to, of course, Naomi's Super Elevated Gillie shoes. It's a lesson in British fashion history so make sure you check it out.
