Natalie Portman's fiance fronts YSL fragrance

The just-released campaign, shot by Patrick Demarchelier, depicts Millepied mid-pirouette against the New York City skyline. It’s a dynamic pose that captures the Black Swan choreographer’s athleticism. And his sky-blue eyes.

The fragrance is pitched toward a younger market than YSL’s other scents, L’Homme and La Nuit de L’Homme.

‘I’m happy and proud to have been chosen by Yves Saint Laurent, one of the world’s most prestigious brands. I admire the world of this House, its elegance and modernity. Monsieur Saint Laurent was a fashion genius, a lover of the Arts, he also knew how to use his talent to serve the art of dancing,’ Millepied said in a statement.

It’s Millepied’s first fragrance campaign, but he follows fiancée Portman into the genre. Portman, you’ll remember, spoke out against then-Christian Dior designer John Galliano during her tenure as the face of Miss Dior Cherie.

The couple welcomed their first son, Aleph, in June.
