The Carrie Diaries coming to TV
Get ready to meet Carrie Bradshaw in her awkward stage (whatyou think curly hair like that is so easy?).

The new show will be brought to American network the CW by Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Deadline reported. Former SATC writer Amy Harris and Bradshaw originator Candace Bushnell herself are also involved. Sarah Jessica Parker is, as yet, not connected with the project.
The Carrie Diaries follows Bradshaw through her senior year of high school in a small New England town. Were picturing Dawsons Creek meets Mean Girls, plus perms.
No word on any stars, but Blake Lively, Elizabeth Olsen, Selena Gomez and Emma Roberts would probably have a lot of fun in 80s gear, right? Let's hope it comes to the UK, and fast...
