There’s something about mums and wanting to be involved in our love lives, and it looks like Kendall Jenner is the most recent celeb to fall victim to mum-meddling.

Even though we’re still recovering from Zayn Malik’s apparent dump-by-text incident a few weeks ago, he seems to have caught the eye of Kris Jenner as a suitor for her daughter, Kendall.

According to reports, since making an appearance at Kylie’s 18th birthday party, Zayn has been invited for ‘family dinner’ at the Kardashian-Jenners. I’m sorry Kris, but there’s no beating around the bush with this one, we see what you’re trying to do.

My mother (whom I love dearly, for the record), is just as much of a culprit of stealth-less matchmaking. No, she hasn’t ever tried to set me up with a globally recognised ex-boyband member or anything, but much like in Kendall's case, mum-approved boyfriends have been similarly unsubtly cast into plain sight.

It just so happened that a tall, dark and handsome young man has been hired at her work. Coincidentally, he happened to be single. It also just so happened that he had reason to be involved in every conversation mum and I had for at least a month or so.

Lucky for me, I was able to brush off the topic or redirect our phone conversations to anything but the poor guy who was being unknowingly sized up for a wedding suit. Nevertheless, time went on and eventually I ended up finding my own boyfriend, and I hear that, much to mum’s dismay, the son-in-law of her dreams is in a relationship as well.

Unfortunatley I don’t think it’ll be that easy for Kendall to avoid Zayn when he's sat next to her at the dining room table, while Kris gazes on knowingly. But if it's any consollation, I feel for you Kendall.
