Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet really, really enjoy each others' company, it transpires.

Each of them were stopped individually on the BAFTA awards 2016 red carpet this evening and asked about their professional dynamic whilst on set of the Steve Jobs movie.

And according to both of them, their relationship couldn't have been more perfect.

According to Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet is:

'A class act. I love her. She's brilliant. But we both have similar styles in terms of work and we really bounce off each other.'

He went on to point out that she was something of a parent to other people in the cast:

'She’s really generous,' he continued. 'Always making sure that everyone is doing well and getting enough rest.'

Kate Winslet, for her part, didn't do anything to dismiss rumours of her mothering behaviour, saying:

'I can get a little bit mother hen. I just watched Michael and I got thinner and thinner.'

In a bid to make sure Michael didn't get sucked itoo far into the workings of the Apple CEO's mind, Kate said:

'I would arrange weekends away for him to relax and go eat steaks.'

Steve Jobs is nominated for the best adapted screenplay, while Michael is also nominated as best actor for his leading role in the film.
