Benedict attended the ceremony with his fiancée Sophie Hunter who wore a brown leather dress by Emlia Wickstead (a brand favoured by Kate Middleton).
At the awards ceremony Benedict also saw his Sherlock co-star, Andrew Scott, collect the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in brilliant indie Pride.
Pride was the night’s big winner, scooping the award for Best British Independent Film and a gong for Imelda Staunton as Best Supporting Actress. Pride is an astonishing film based on the true story of an unlikely solidarity forged between gay and lesbian activists and Welsh miners in the 1980s. Add it to your must-see list.
