It's a story we all know and love - the evil stepmother, the midnight curfew, the multifunctional pumpkin, and THAT glass slipper - but the classic tale of Cinderella is about to get a big screen update. Disney's Cinderella is a live action adaptation of the original Brothers Grimm fairytale, and the trailer does not disappoint.
Starring Lily James (you'll know her from Downton Abbey) as the title character, a redhead Cate Blanchett as the despicable stepmother, and an almost unrecognisable Helen Bonham-Carter as the fairy godmother, expect all the twists, turns and romance of the classic fairytale, but on grander and more epic scale.
Our favourite moment? Cinderella’s astonishment at seeing the slippers for the first time, met with a feisty nod of assurance from Helen Bonham-Carter: ‘They’re made of glass; you’ll find they’re really comfortable’. Made from Swarovski crystals, the iconic slippers are every bit as sparkly as you'd expect and are based on an original 1890s design.
