Last week Brooklyn Beckham announced that he’d passed all of his GCSEs, woo!

After seeing the celebratory pictures and subsequently scrolling through his strictly black&white instagram feed, we found ourselves wondering: ‘Was photography one of those GCSEs?’

Seriously, there are some professional-looking photos on there. His Dad has football, Mum: fashion (and singing) and even little brother Romeo has modelled for Burberry. Is photography Brooklyn’s thing?

Not quite equipped ourselves to judge, we asked ELLE’s Picture Editor Lara Ferros for her expert opinion:

‘This photo captures the ‘moody cloud’, it’s quite apocalyptic.'

‘I’m a motorcycle enthusiast so I’m a bit biased, but this is cool. I want one of these seats for my bike.’

‘Here, he’s gone for the twinkle effect by using out of focus light'

‘I have this camera! As it’s got no lens, it’s for photographers who aren’t afraid to get really close to their subjects.’

‘So, there’s three consecutive photos of fireworks in a row. I mean, it’s something you just can’t help. I have at least 150 firework pictures on my camera. He’s made the lamppost the central aspect of the photo’

‘I like the picture because we have those wooden telephone wires in Canada, where I’m from. But the caption doesn’t really match the image, as the sun hasn’t actually set.’

‘It looks here like he’s moved the camera around really fast to get this kind of look. He looks very mysterious’

‘I can’t really see anything so I’m not too sure how to examine this. He should have taken a few F-stops down so you could see more detail.’

‘I’m a big fan of this picture, mainly because of the palm trees. He’s added the circular effect during post-production which works well with the image.’

‘This is a good shot and the lighting’s very good. It works very well in black&white’

‘He obviously hung his head out of a moving vehicle to get this shot, which shows commitment - the road looks cool, like one you would want to be on.’
