Today, two former ELLE UK cover stars Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch have been surprised with new jobs.

The pair are to be two out of 11 visiting fellows at Oxford’s Lady Margaret Hall.

LMH’s Principal, Alan Rusbridger, set up the new Oxford roles to include a select group of professionals leading in their respective fields of science, medicine, the performing arts, literature, feminism, politics, law and policing.

In Rusbridger’s words: “They are people drawn from a variety of backgrounds, callings and professions and we want them to form a bridge between our own academic community and the worlds they inhabit and represent.”

“We hope they will occasionally come and eat at college as well as debate, perform, challenge and otherwise engage with the fellows, tutors, alumni, students and support staff.”
