News just in: following the devastating news that Foo Fighters have been forced to pull out of their Glastonbury performance this year, it has just been confirmed that Florence + the Machine will take up the headlining spot on Friday night. This will mark the singer's first appearance on the famed main stage. We hope the news has made your day, just like it’s made our’s!

Florence said; 'I'm so sorry to hear that Dave Grohl has broken his leg. I met him when we were just starting out and he is honestly one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Having just experienced a broken foot I know how devastating it can be to break something on stage so I am sending him all my love. Glastonbury have asked us to step in which is an incredible honour. We hope we will be able to give you just as good a Friday night as the Foos... Love FATM. xxx'

In other news Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been confirmed to appear at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Not once, but twice - on the Park Stage on Saturday and the Left Field on the Friday.

And, of course, the Saturday night headliner is none other than…

Yes, Mr Kanye West himself.  The news has so far proven more divisive than Marmite, with some rubbing their hands at the potential guest appearances (our money's on Rihanna) and the prospect of Kim Kardashian in wellies, while other whinge on Twitter and start the inevitable petition against his Pyramid Stage appearance (if only there were 30 other stages to choose from, eh guys?).

Elsewhere, Lionel Richie has been confirmed as the Sunday teatime slot, and Foo Fighters are headlining on Friday night. But the question remains: who else will be joining them?

Adele has previously said that she wouldn’t want to perform at the legendary festival, due to the size of the crowd, but that doesn't stop the rumours that Emily and Michael Eavis are in talks to get her to Worthy Farm this year.

ELLE favourite Taylor Swift is performing in Hyde Park on Saturday night, and Dublin on Monday night… Has she handily left herself with a spare Sunday evening to headline on the Pyramid stage? Her friend Ed Sheeran says otherwise, but we can but hope.

Last year, Dave Grohl told BBC Radio 1 that he’d only do Glasto if Prince and Oasis were also performing. Does this mean they’ve signed up too? We think a singalong to Kiss and Wonderwall would be amazing…

Fleetwood Mac were listed as ‘to be confirmed’ around the internet for a while, but now it seems their status has dropped to just ‘strong rumour’. Whether or not they do play, you can still read our interview with Stevie Nicks.

We can’t be the only ones who want the remaining three Take That members to head to Somerset? Last year, Howard Donald told the Daily Star that the band want to perform, but were yet to hear back from the Eavis family. We’ve got our fingers crossed – we’ll Never Forget you guys.
